House at the Envelope Primetime Emmy screening series

Finally something new regarding one of my 2 favorite shows happened this week : LA Times had a series of Emmy screening events for different shows and one of them was House. This took place at the Arclight Cinema in Hollywood and it was opened to fans of course (lucky, lucky American fans that is because apparently European folk can just lump it,they never care about us and our needs to meet Hugh Laurie).

In attendance were Hugh Laurie,Robert Sean Leonard,David Shore,Katie Jacobs(btw, stop butchering my House/Cameron ship now … k?thanks! ),Omar Epps and director of photography  Gale Tattersall(who I think is british so yeey). The screened episode was Wilson’s Heart.I really hope that this one or House’s Head get submitted and nominated for the Emmy both in the episodes related categories and the actor related ones.

Haven’t really found pictures yet(except for 2 really small ,bad ones) but I found some articles and I’ll post excerpts of them here .

A screening of the House season finale and a Q&A with the cast (plus, free House bumper stickers and magnets!) attracted viewers from as far as Northern California, who arrived as early as noon to wait in line for tickets. In attendance was the “sexy, surly pinup boy” (according to our moderator) Hugh Laurie, Robert Sean Leonard, Omar Epps, executive producer/creator David Shore, executive producer/director of the screened episode Katie Jacobs and director of photography Gale Tattersall. Among the secrets they revealed…

On season five: Everyone was incredibly tight-lipped, but they did say that they went straight from shooting season four into shooting season five. So even if there is a SAG strike, we’ll still have some new House to look forward to.

On the decision to kill Amber: “We don’t have a [death] quota, but we are conscious of [mortalities being needed on the show],” David shared. The main question the writers ask themselves is, does the death serve a purpose for the story? With Amber, they knew when they brought her back that they were going to kill her, because they wanted to explore what would happen if House couldn’t save the woman that Wilson loved. That theme will extend itself into season five.

On what we didn’t see in the season four finale: Robert shared that a conversation between Cameron and Wilson in the cafeteria was cut. He said it was a really sweet scene and was disappointed it didn’t make the final version of the episode. Maybe it’ll be included in the DVD extras.

On the major cast changes after season three: “The notion that people would keep working for [House] indefinitely is not real,” David said. He felt it would’ve been unrealistic to pretend that Cameron, Chase and Foreman would stay forever and put up with his crap, and after season three seemed like the right time for them to move forward since their fellowship with House was only supposed to last three years.

On Foreman returning to House’s team: Omar (who pretended to storm out of the panel when he found out the Lakers had lost the playoff game that was airing while the event was going on) said that Foreman is currently between a rock and a hard place, because while he’s the head of the new ducklings, nothing has really changed. He still has to work for House. He was hesitant about saying that Foreman likes House, but shared that, despite their differences, Foreman respects him. As far as upcoming romantic possibilities for the character, Omar joked that Foreman is asexual.

On the House/13 relationship: Next season, they will explore the contrast between these two, as related to their individual illnesses — House’s being an external sickness, 13’s Huntington’s disease being an internal sickness. As for any sexual tension between the two? “I think the sexual tension comes from the way [Olivia Wilde] looks!” David joked.

Hugh Laurie on House: “I love him, but that sounds a little weird,” he laughed. Hugh sees House as a romantic character, comparing him to the Phantom from Phantom of the Opera. He said that, from the pilot, House really didn’t want to interact with patients, partially because he was self-conscious about his limp and his physical limitations, which Hugh views in a romantic light.

Hugh Laurie Audition Facts: He couldn’t find a cane to bring to the audition, so he used an umbrella. Katie shared that Hugh wore a button that said “sexy” into the room. He insists it was simply his attempt at being ironic. While the pilot script called for House to be 34, David insists that he never wanted House to be that young.”

Hugh Laurie and the others stars of the critically acclaimed FOX drama/comedy “House” made appearances at a special screening of an episode on June 12 at Arclight Cinema in Hollywood.

“House” creator and executive producers were also in attendance.

With “House” in its fourth season, Laurie said he is happy with the direction of the show.

“I never tire of it, to be honest,” Laurie said. “I never tire of the character. I love him. I find the stories endlessly fascinating.”

Laurie had the crowd laughing when he said House just completed Episode 90, which “in England it takes us 300 years to do.”

The TV show focuses around Gregory House (Hugh Laurie), who uses sarcastic humor to carry out his unfaltering and unconventional methods as a doctor.

House makes it difficult for fellow doctors Eric Foreman (Omar Epps) and James Wilson (Robert Sean Leonard) to work with him in diagnosing patients based on his random gut instincts and trial and error approaches to medicine.

“It was unreal that they would put up with his crap,” said David Shore, the show’s creator and executive producer. “When we reached the end of Season Three, the notion that people would continue working for this man (House) was not real.”

………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

Laurie’s charismatic demeanor and English accent had the women in the audience swooning over the 49-year-old star. The audience interacted with the cast as they shouted out potential love interests for Laurie’s character in the upcoming season.

House Season 4 Finale 4×16 Wilson’s Heart rant + HD Screencaps

The last episode of Season 4 aired in the US Monday night and it was AMAZING again.Isuck at reviews and stuff but I’ll rant about it a little.
Let’s take it in steps to try and make it coherent.

1.The episode as a whole was great, loved it to bits. There was little mystery and the focus was on the characters again but they still managed to keep the medical details in the show which is good ’cause I like strange, interesting, scientific babble.

I liked Amber ,even when she was clearly not such a nice person, for some of the same reasons for which I like T-Bag from Prison Break : she’s interesting, refreshing, fun, funny, witty which makes her a good addition .Also,I liked her with Wilson because she really was a lot like House and Wilson likes House a lot and loves him dearly as a friend so it makes sense that a woman a lot like House ended up being the perfect woman for Wilson.Having said this,I am very sorry she died but it was a rather bold move to kill a character that was becoming important, very important and had a lot of potential. The writers nailed it with this decision because the emotional intensity of this episode sky rocketed without having many dramatic moments. Also this allowed the writers to create a story that revolves around House’s friendship with Wilson and shows exactly how they feel about eachother while at the same time showing the different, caring, hurt side that we all know House has

2.The acting was superb yet again.Sure,Hugh always gets a chance to shine and in this last 2 episodes he SHINED like the sun (yes,I’m that obsessed)but I was very happy that Robert Sean Leonard got his chance to prove what a great actor he is and show his full puppy in distress/adorableness potential.Anne Dudek also did a great job now and throughout the show.

Seriously, between House/Hugh crying/being sad/wounded/in pain and RSL crying/being sad no one stands a chance…..crying like an idiot is guaranteed or,if u’re like me aka not a crier,u’ll be hearing your heart break into small pieces.Hugh has such an expressive face and big expressive blue eyes and the kindness he seems to generally have helps him deliver so much emotion,so much pain and sincerity,he’s the Puss in Boots(from Shrek) of the real world.

When he was on that bus with Amber towards the end and she told him to get off the bus and he said no,that he can’t because it doesn’t hurt in there and he doesn’t want Wilson to hate him and doesn’t want to be miserable anymore ,they were showing his face closely and his big sad eyes and he was tearing up and my heart was slowly but surely dying………. *cries*.

3.What I didn’t like . There were 2 main things I didn’t like about this episode :

a) lack of Cameron because Cameron and Wilson are nr 2 in my book after House(yes,I can’t decide between them)and because House and Cameron are meant for eachother. She should have been there for House as she was for Wilson(why didn’t they make that one a longer scene????)and she should have helped.

b) the Cuddy-holding-House’s-hand part and not the scene itself really because that was ok but the moment in which it was shown and the fact that it was ,the way I see it,out of character for Cuddy(at least the real ,season 1 and season 2 Cuddy, the good Cuddy). That holding his hand thing came around the scene on the bus where House said he doesn’t want to be miserable and lonely anymore so I think it’s possible for the Cuddy scene to be a sort of sign of things to come from the writers. See,they fucked Cuddy up in their attempts to show us some sexual/romantic chemistry between them because I think they realized that they have a friendship vibe but not a sexual vibe so they must “poke” our eyes with the sexual chemistry, they have to make it blunt. It’s really not sexual at all because all they do is have House make fun of Cuddy in a sexual way and have Cuddy behave like a semi-hooker around him sometimes.Cuddy now seems to have no other purpose now that to be sexy around House and be the object of his most unflattering jokes. She no longer has any authority over him,she begged him not to cause her to lose her job 2 episodes ago while she is technically HIS BOSS and shows no depth. It’s a shame,I liked the first/second season Cuddy and her friendship with House but now her character makes me sick. Yeah,I’m a House/Cameron fan (it’s my only ship ever and I watch countless shows and usually hate romance on tv shows) and one of the reasons for which I am a fan is because it’s subtle, because their chemistry/sexual tension is natural and needs no words,a look,a slight touch, them being a little closer to eachother is enough to send sparks in all directions. They can make a medical talk about puke be sexy and full of subtext with a look(and the actors/writers used to talk about that a while ago).No matter how hard they might try to turn Cameron into a Wilson 2.0 for House they’ll never succeed because the tension and subtext is always there even when there’s no intention for it.Also, look,Amber was House 2.0 and was great for Wilson so the same might apply to House.Oh and House never made fun of Cameron in the shallow way he makes fun of Cuddy ,with Cameron it was always about deeper things. Now I’m waiting for season 5 which can’t start soon enough.I’m certain House will mend things with Wilson because they need each others friendship .Also I’m certain House will think of changing a bit,of trying to be happy although he probably won’t lose the walls he built around himself in one season .Well,as long as there’s no Huddy,I’mhappy.

I hope they’ll bring Cameron and Chase back(but not as a couple) because they deserve to be in this show and fans want them back, things aren’t quite the same without them.

I want to say SORRY for I’m certain I have MANY mistakes (grammar mistakes and writing ones) in this post because I wrote it in a hurry while my thoughts regarding the show are in no order,my head’s a mess 😀

Now,after this impossibly long rant here comes the fun part of this post :SCREENCAPS(HD ones because I do things in style :D).

U know the drill : pics are thumbnails, press on them (takes u to another thumbnail and u’ll need to press once more)

House 4×16 Wilson’s Heart promo

Will this episode RULE? Y/N? Will it make me obsess more than I already do ? Y/N? Will I totally lose my mind after it and thinking there’s a long hiatus ahead? Y/N? Is there any sanity left for me to lose in the first place ?Y/N?

Well at least after seeing a high quality version of the promo I got to the conclusion that the House-and-Amber-are-about-to-kiss part is most probably a hallucination because the symptoms u see on the board behind Amber are the same as in another bit of footage from the promo and the board is in the same place so …..yeah,I’m that obsessed. But this does in no way mean I’m not insanely jealous of Anne Dudek(Amber aka Cut Throat Bitch aka CTB aka Wilson’s girlfriend). It also does in no way mean I stopped freaking out over the small possibility of House having some sort of romantic feelings for Amber and/or and affair which would be so bad for so many reasons it’s not even funny(reasons like House not being that type of guy – yes, even with all the hooker talk – ,House not being capable of doing such a thing to his best friend who I know he cares deeply about ,etc). Also the whole Amber thing freaks me out because I don’t want them to totally kill the House/Cameron which is the one and only ship I ever cared about in my life(and keep in mind I watch countless shows)……..the House/Cuddy threat is already nauseating enough for me(oh the fun Lisa E must have had while shooting House’s Head………hate, hate, more and more hate……..but let’s move on).

So if u want to know the answers to all the “when”,”why’s”,”what’s”,”who’s”,”wtf’s” and get your weekly dose of sarcasm, humor and sexiness tune in next week for the last episode of Season 4

Here’s the promo
